  • 2019 Oljato Summer Camp

    At Camp Oljato we have an excellent summer camp with programs geared for all ages and stages. While at camp, Scouts can work on earning a number of merit badges, as well as WATERSKIING, HORSEBACK RIDING, RAPPELLING, and LOG ROLLING! We have a great First Year "Transitional" program for those new to Boy Scouting.

    Hope for the Holidays - help a family in need during two weekends in November.
  • Trail to First Class Camp - Nov 2-4

    Got new Scouts? Here is an opportunity for them to complete many of the requirements for the ranks of Scout through First Class! Knots, cooking, fire-starting, map and compass, plant and animal identification, first aid, food safety, knife and axe safety, water safety, swim requirements, and much more!
  • Gold Rush Adventure! - Sep 28-30, Oct 5-7

    Experience the “gold fever” of pioneers flocking west to find their fame and fortune. Do you have what takes to stake and work your claim? Pan for gold, shoot archery and muzzleloading rifles, start a fire with flint & steel, make candles, rope, and bullets, lasso a steer and cut wood for your cabin! Can you cook in a dutch oven, make jerky and bread? Come learn how!
  • STEM Merit Badge Midway - Dec 1 (reg starts Oct 8)

    A 1-day event for Scouts to earn STEM*-related Merit Badges and to finish incomplete ones. (*STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics)

1-Day Aviation, Weather, Astronomy Merit Badge Programs at Hiller Aviation Museum

Boy Scouts can complete their requirements for the Aviation, Weather, or Astronomy Merit Badge thru special 1-day programs at Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos. Go to www.hiller.orgExternal Link for details. Event is not a council event, please direct any questions to Hiller Aviation Museum.

Aviation merit badgeAVIATION - $45
Participants build and fly model gliders, inspect the Museum's Cessna Cardinal, and complete an air traffic control simulation. Requirements are completed the day of the program.

Weather merit badgeWEATHER - $50
Participants complete weather experiments including lightning and tornado formation, icing an airplane wing, construction of a working weather station, and much more!

Astronomy merit badgeASTRONOMY- $55
Participants construct working telescopes, complete a range of observations in the Starlab planetarium, use a variety of telescopes to observe the Sun and Moon, lead a public observation session and more!

World Jamboree - Summer 2019

The 24th World Scout Jamboree will take place at the Summit Bechtel Scout Reserve in West Virginia from July 21, 2019 to August 2, 2019. Participation is open to eligible youth (age 14-17), unit leaders (18 and older) and International Service Team (IST, aka Jamboree Staff, 18 and older).
