Mountain Man Rendezvous

At Boulder Creek Scout Reservation, Scouts can step back in time to see what it was like when pioneers roamed the frontier, trapping animals and trading with Native Americans.

For Boy Scouts and 2nd year Webelos hosted by a troop.

Featured Programs: Scouts will learn frontier mountain man skills and do authentic rendezvous activities including: Archery, Gold Panning, Black Powder Rifle Shooting, Knife and Tomahawk Throwing, Rope Making, Candle Making, using Flint and Steel, Dutch Oven Cooking, Display Rifles, Making Bullets, Silk screening (bring a blank T-shirt), and other events yet to be determined. Scouts also get to see how early pioneers lived by seeing an authentic reproduction of a mountain man encampment.
