2015 Annual Report
Pacific Skyline Council has 7870 total youth in 260 Units.
172 Scouts reached the rank of Eagle which represents 6% of the Council’s total Boy Scouts.
Eagle Scout service projects totaled 29,032 hours which equals $711,598 of volunteer donations to our community
Popcorn sales grew by 9% over last year and returned over $130,000 back to participating units for their programs
Distinguished Citizen Award Dinner – For the fourth consecutive year, we exceeded our previous dinner fundraising records, honoring Lynn and Dave Mitchell as our distinguished citizens of 2015.
Added 3 new Explorer Posts, and grew overall youth participation over 2014.
Friends of Scouting donations had an increased participation rate of 6% and had an average gift increase of 11% over 2014
Capital Improvements in Facilities, especially camps, is key to main- taining quality and expanding our programs for youth In 2015, we invested $149,000, with over 90% spent on our camps .
ScoutReach helps all kids participate in Scouting, regardless of economic circumstance In 2015, we had 908 youth in 30 units. We added a new co-ed Exploring Post called Building Futures Now which is focused on careers. We also had the Council’s first ever Eagle Scout from our ScoutReach program!
Solid governance practices guide the Council, ensuring the highest integrity in financial auditing and membership validation procedures.
The Council achieved the highest level– Gold –in the “Journey to Excellence.”
