Welcome to PacSky’s 2018 Unit Fundraiser —
your unit can fund your Scouts’ NEXT GREAT EXPERIENCE with Popcorn!

There are plenty of good reasons for your Scouts to take part in the annual popcorn sale. Scouts can earn money for camp and activities throughout the year and they learn valuable skills like teamwork, goal setting, time management and salesmanship – just to name a few. Scouts gain confidence and a sense of accomplishment, the popcorn sale is not about selling popcorn, it’s about promoting Scouting!

Selling popcorn also helps our council raise money for improving our summer camps, offering more extensive training for our volunteer leaders, and keeps program and activity costs down. Best of all, there is NO upfront cost to your unit to participate! The popcorn sale benefits our council as a whole!

Top 10 reason to sell popcorn

    1. Average selling unit in the Pacific Skyline Council last year sold $8,000 in popcorn – earning almost $2,500 in commissions and individual prizes for Scouts. What could your unit do with that kind of funding?
    2. Scouts learn to set goals and experience the feeling of sweet success!
    3. Scouts experience the satisfaction of earning their own way for Scouting activities and camps in the coming year.
    4. Up to 37% of the proceeds support your unit and the other 30% helps our council provide services that support your unit’s Scouts! 
    5. The community gets to meet Scouts and support Scouting.
    6. If everyone pitches in, it is the only fundraiser most units will need to do all year!
    7. Council incurs the cost and no money is required up-front for units to sell.
    8. Earn prizes and commissions!
    9. College Scholarship Program! Scouts who sell at least $2,500 (online, face-to-face, or combination) in any calendar year will have 6% of their Qualified Product Sales count towards their own Trail's End Scholarship*. Once enrolled, 6% of their sales each year will go towards the scholarship.
