Youth Protection Training

   • Youth Protection Training classes can be scheduled for groups of six or more. Email Ed Shikada to schedule a class.

Cub Scout Leader-Specific Training

These courses are intended to provide Cub Scout leaders at all levels with the basic information they need to conduct a successful Cub Scout program.

BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation)

BALOO introduces Cub Scout leaders and parents to the skills needed to plan and conduct pack outdoor activities, particularly pack camping. (Packs must have at least one BALOO-trained adult on an outdoor activity). Class offered as a one-day course or two-evening course.

Webelos Leader Outdoor Training (WLOT)

This course is designed specifically for Webelos den leaders and their assistants, which teaches outdoor-related skills and activity badge instruction through demonstration and hands-on practice. Webelos den leaders should attend this training before conducting Webelos overnight camping with the boys and parents of the den. (Pre-requisite is BALOO) events of this type are currently posted...
