Unit and Member Renewal

​Unit Renewal is due by January 1 for units expiring on 1/31/2026. The Annual Charter Fee is $100. 

Be proactive. Start early. Ask for help right away if you encounter problems.

Membership Renewal can be done by the unit or the family. Click here for current membership fees (as of 2/1/2025).

  • Membership renewal is now handled on a twelve-month cycle and no longer directly linked to a unit charter.

  • Unit Renewals and Member Renewals open 60 days prior to the unit's or member's expiration date.

  • Renewal cannot be accessed before the 60-day renewal period opens.

Combined Troop Pilot Update (11/18/2025)

The Combined Troop Pilot was successful. Beginning December 15, 2025, the new Family Troop option will be available to all Chartered Organizations.

Combined Troops Pilot Units: 

  • If continuing as a Family Troop: Do not renew your girl troop. Encourage all girl troop members to renew with the boy troop as their primary/paid registration. Members do not need to renew their girl troop registration.

  • If not continuing as a Family Troop: Both units will need to be renewed and membership separated. Please contact the Council Registrar if your units will separate after the pilot.

 

Other Troops: All Chartered Organizations can choose to offer the Family Troop option. If your troop is interested in this new option, please contact the Council Registrar to determine next steps and how it will impact Unit and Member Renewal for your troop(s).

  • Login at My.Scouting.org

  • Click Menu in the top left, then select the correct unit in the Organization section.

  • Select Organization Manager.

  • Click Unit Renewal in the left sidebar.

  • Validate the unit information.

  • Make any changes needed to resolve validation errors.

  • Enter your name in the signature field.

  • To Pay Online: 

    • Click the Next Step: Unit Pin Review button.

    • Review your pin and make any updates.

    • Enter your credit card or bank account details.

    • Click the Submit Payment button.

    • Click the Go to Confirmation button.

  • To Pay by Check at the Council Office: 

    • Click the Click Here for Pay at the Council Office Option button.

    • Print the PDF that opens, then write and sign your name, add the date, and include the page with your check when submitting to the council office.​​

Annual Charter Agreement

Your unit's Annual Charter Agreement must be submitted to your District Executive. The council will not finalize your unit renewal and submit it to national unless we have received your Charter Agreement.​

If you do not regularly meet at your Chartered Organization's location, you will need to submit a Facilities Use Agreement to your District Executive, along with your Annual Charter Agreement.

Member Renewal

  • Login at My.Scouting.org.

  • Click My Application.

  • Click the My Renewals tab.

  • Click the Start Renewal button.

  • Review Information.

  • Click Go To Payment.

  • Agree to the Terms & Conditions.

  • Confirm / Edit Scout Life subscription.

  • Enter / Confirm Credit Card info.

  • Click Place Order.

To Pay by Check: Click the Click to Print for Manual Pay button instead of the Place Order button. Submit the printed renewal PDF and your check to the council office.

  • Login at My.Scouting.org.

  • Click Menu in the top left, then select the correct unit in the Organization section.

  • Select Organization Manager.

  • Click Roster in the left sidebar.

  • Click the checkbox next to each member you want to renew.

  • To Pay Online: 

    • Click the Renew button in the gray toolbar and follow the prompts to submit payment.

  • To Pay By Check at the Council Office: 

    • Click the Print button in the gray toolbar, select Unit Payment of Membership Renewal. 

    • Print the PDF that opens, then write and sign your name, add the date, and include the page with your check when submitting to the council office.
