Bequests

A bequest is one of the simplest ways to support Scouting. By naming the Pacific Skyline Council in your will or living trust, you can make a powerful statement of support. Bequests can be for a specific dollar amount, a percentage of your estate, or the remainder of your assets after other obligations are met.

Beneficiary Designations

Name the Pacific Skyline Council as a beneficiary of your retirement plan, IRA, life insurance policy, or other financial accounts. This option is easy to set up and can provide impactful support for our programs.

Endowment Fund

Our endowment fund ensures the sustainability of Scouting in our community. Gifts to the endowment provide perpetual support, allowing us to plan for the future and continue offering exceptional programs. Consider naming the Pacific Skyline Council Endowment Fund in your estate plans to ensure Scouting thrives for generations to come.

How to Include Scouting in Your Plans

We recommend consulting with your attorney or financial advisor to determine the best approach for your estate planning goals. Below is suggested wording for your legal documents:

"I give, devise, and bequeath to the Pacific Skyline Council, Boy Scouts of America, located in Palo Alto, California, [specific dollar amount, percentage of estate, or description of asset] for its general use and purposes."
