Little Kids. Big Adventures.

Introducing Chipmunks: A new Scouting America program for curious 4- and 5-year-olds!

Welcome to Chipmunks!

Big discoveries start with little adventures! Chipmunks is a fun, hands-on program designed especially for Pre-K and TK children ages 4 and 5. Through imaginative play, outdoor exploration, creative activities, and new friendships, children build confidence, curiosity, and important school-ready skills—all while having fun alongside their families.

What Will Your Little Chipmunk Learn?

Every Chipmunk's adventure is an opportunity to try something new! Guided by eight friendly forest characters, children explore:

What Chipmunks IS (and ISN'T)

What it IS:
  • A playful, age-appropriate introduction to the spirit of Scouting.

  • A welcoming place to build friendships, confidence, and school-ready skills.

  • A hands-on program that encourages curiosity, creativity, and exploration.

  • A shared experience where parents and children learn and grow together.

What it ISN'T:
  • It's not Cub Scouts for younger kids. Chipmunks is its own program, created specifically for Pre-K and TK age children.

  • It's not about earning ranks or badges. Children are celebrated for participating, trying new things, and having fun.

  • It's not a drop-off program. Parents or caregivers join in the activities and adventures.

  • It's not another classroom. Learning happens through play, discovery, and hands-on experiences—not worksheets or tests.
