Unit Fundraising

Fund Your Scouting Adventures

Fundraising directly supports your unit and your Scouting families. Units can use fundraising to offset costs for activities, purchase outdoor gear for the unit, reimburse adult leader training fees, provide advancement materials, and more. Fundraising teaches Scouts life skills and reinforces Scouting values—goal setting, communication, resilience, confidence, and earning your own way—all by participating in unit fundraising. Fundraising also supports the bigger picture. A portion of proceeds from popcorn and maple syrup fundraising supports the council, which in turn provides camps, events, staff support, and essential services that benefit your unit and your Scouts.

Popcorn Sale Fundraiser

The Pacific Skyline Council partners with Trail's End to provide this annual fundraising opportunity for Scouts to fund their fun and find their next adventure.

Maple Syrup Fundraiser

The council's newest fundraiser for units is a maple syrup sale. Provided by Mac's Maple,  this Grade A 100% wood fire maple syrup is crafted on a family-owned New Hampshire farm on the banks of the Connecticut River.

Pacific Skyline Council-branded pints can supplement unit budgets to support youth in their Scouting journey, from Lion to Eagle.

How It Works

Units purchase pints of maple syrup from the Council for $10.99 per bottle. Units organize their own sale, with a suggested price of $20 per bottle or $35 for two bottles. All fundraiser proceeds must go into a unit banking account, not a family's personal banking account, and must be used in a manner consistent with Scouting America's fundraising policies.

There are no additional commission calculations or council rewards for participating Scouts. Units are encouraged to adopt their own incentives for Scouts who participate in maple syrup sales.

This maple syrup fundraiser is a year-round opportunity. â€‹Product returns are not permitted once your unit has placed an order.

Other Unit Fundraisers

Units can conduct other fundraisers, but must submit a Money-Earning Application to their District Executive for approval prior to beginning your fundraiser. This application includes space for basic information about your fundraiser as well as the guidelines for unit money-earning projects. Find your district or contact your District Executive.
